Magic Hikes offers private psilocybin experiences in Peru's Sacred Valley.

Each experience takes place along carefully selected hiking routes that lead through some of the region's most beautiful landscapes, from mountain viewpoints and waterfalls to quiet trails surrounded by the Andes.

The combination of psilocybin and immersive time in nature creates a unique setting for reflection, insight, wonder, and personal exploration. Every experience includes preparation beforehand and integration support afterward, allowing participants to approach the journey with greater clarity and confidence.

Hikes are available on demand, any day of the week. Once you're interested, we’ll send you a catalog of curated options—mostly in the Sacred Valley, with one beautiful spot just above Cusco (perfect if you prefer no travel or hiking).

No experience with mushrooms? No problem! Whether you're completely new or more seasoned, we’ll help tailor the psilocybin dosage to your comfort level and intention, and we’ll guide you with thorough preparation beforehand so you feel safe and ready.

⏳ Duration & Timing

Most excursions last a full day, but shorter 4–6 hour options are also available. If you're staying in Cusco, you’ll be back by around 6:30 PM.

We don’t hike under the influence. We hike first, then settle into a good spot. After a safety briefing, the experience begins. During the ceremony, it’s your journey—I’ll only guide you if you ask. You can keep it as private as you want; I’m there simply to ensure your safety.

We will take you to incredible places, some off the beaten path—that you might never discover without an alternative guide. Most of the destinations we visit are sacred sites rich with Inca or pre-Inca ruins, flowing rivers, majestic mountains, and ancient forests. These powerful landscapes offer the perfect setting for deep connection, reflection, and healing, enhancing your magic mushroom journey in a truly unforgettable way.

YOUR GUIDE

I'm Rodrigo, a guide and facilitator with over 29 years of experience working with psychedelics. Through private mushroom hikes in Peru's Sacred Valley, I combine immersive experiences in nature with a grounded, responsible approach to psilocybin work.

My background includes extensive personal practice as well as formal training in psychedelic safety and integration. My role is not to direct your experience, but to provide a safe and supportive container in which it can unfold naturally.

Whether this is your first psychedelic experience or your fiftieth, I bring experience, presence, and careful attention to each journey, helping participants navigate the experience with greater confidence and clarity.

Safety is a central part of every Magic Hike experience. Good preparation plays a key role in creating the conditions for a safe and positive journey.

Certain medical conditions and medications may make psilocybin unsuitable. For this reason, we ensure all participants have no medical contraindications for the experience.

Preparation begins before the day of the hike. You will receive detailed information about the experience, what to expect, and how to prepare.

On the day itself, we begin with a thorough briefing covering the effects of psilocybin, practical considerations, and ways to navigate the experience comfortably. Dosage is discussed and determined individually based on factors such as experience level, intentions, body weight, and personal preferences.

Throughout the experience, your guide remains present and attentive, ensuring your physical safety and providing support if needed.

Following the hike, we check in with you to help integrate the experience and remain available for further support and questions.

AFTER THE HIKE - INTEGRATION

After the hike, you will have the option to maximize the benefits of your journey through guided integration.

  • A Magic Mushroom Hike is a guided nature experience combining a scenic hike with the intentional use of psilocybin mushrooms in a safe, supportive, and natural setting. These experiences are designed for self-discovery, healing, and connection with nature.

  • Our hikes are open to adults aged 18 and over who wish to connect with nature and themselves through a profound and memorable experience supported by magic mushrooms. We typically attract adventurous, open-minded, and curious individuals.

  • No. While previous experience is helpful, it’s not required. We’ll guide you through preparation, the experience itself, and integration afterward.

  • We offer hikes of varying lengths and difficulty levels—from easy nature walks to more challenging mountain trails. You’ll be able to choose the right level for your physical condition and comfort.

  • Yes, as long as you’re honest about your current health status and follow the safety guidelines provided before and during the experience, you will be well cared for.

    We take safety seriously and have several measures in place to support a safe and meaningful journey:

    • Participant screening to assess physical and mental health suitability

    • Thorough preparation, including detailed information on what to expect

    • Guided hikes on well-established and safe paths

    • Experienced, trauma-informed facilitators trained in psychedelic safety

    • Post-experience check-in the following day

    • Optional support for psychedelic integration to help you process and integrate insights

  • Some medications and mental health conditions may not be compatible with psilocybin. We ask all participants to disclose relevant health information during registration to ensure safety.

  • A detailed packing list will be provided after registration, but generally you’ll need:

    • Comfortable hiking shoes

    • Water bottle

    • Layered clothing for weather changes

    • A small backpack

    • Sunscreen

  • Before the experience, you'll receive clear guidance to help you prepare mentally, emotionally, and physically.

    During the mushroom journey, you'll be free to explore your experience in your own way—whether alone or with friends—within a safe and supportive environment.


    Our role is to hold space with care and discretion. While we keep a respectful distance, we remain fully present and attentive. We'll check in with you once or twice to ensure everything is going smoothly, but we won't interfere unless you ask for help or it's clearly needed.

    Our goal is to protect your freedom while ensuring your safety at all times.

  • We treat each hike with reverence and care. While it's not a traditional ceremony, the experience includes grounding practices, intention setting, and gentle guidance that create a sacred container for the journey.

  • Integration—the process of weaving your thoughts, emotions, and insights into everyday life—is a vital part of the journey.

    After the hike, you’ll receive a short integration guide to support your reflection and grounding.
    For those who want deeper support, we also offer optional 1:1 integration calls to help you process your experience and explore how it can inform real, lasting change in your life.
